Typingkilla - Free Voice-to-Text Assistant for Chrome( Extension)
I'm a non-technical person who likes to tinker with tools. I vibecoded this as a fun weekend project, but it ended up being so useful that I now use it every day. I'm sharing it in case it's useful for you too.
What is it?
Typingkilla is a simple Chrome browser extension that turns your voice into text. Just click on any text box on any website, press the microphone button, and start talking. It's a fast and easy way to write emails, fill out forms, or take
notes without typing.
It uses Deepgram for fast and accurate transcription and has an optional feature to improve your text using Groq's AI.
There are other powerful, paid tools out there like Wispr Flow. Typingkilla is a more lightweight and straightforward alternative for daily use.
